Amazon is using an old marketing trick to sell consumers on the future. The homes of the future in the 60s and 70s were for public amusement to get them excited about a world where most of their errands would be taken care of with automation. Amazon is building ‘experience centers’ in model homes to give customers a taste of their technology to get them hooked.
