TPL Maps concludes its first phase of “Map My Pakistan” campaign
Karachi, Pakistan [February 12, 2018]: Pakistan’s first digital mapping solution,TPL Maps recently concluded it’s first phase of an interactive campaign named ‘Map My Pakistan’.
Launched in December until January 2018, the 6-week competition was published on Facebook inviting thousands of TPL Maps app users added points of interest (POIs) around them. The crowd sourcing campaign encouraged TPL Maps users to add more than 10 million POIs on the app as Pakistan’s bespoke navigation app. The competition challengers collectively grew the TPL Maps database by more than 20,000 verified POIs in six weeks.
Head of TPL Maps Adeel Hashmi said, “Map My Pakistan defines who we are as a country. Our vision is to comprehensively map every nook and corner of Pakistan and we have invested a lot of time and resources in executing this task. The digital map will substantially pave the way for e-commerce rise, as it will also assist new startups in the country, which will only help to further strengthen the economy. To complete this mammoth task, we require the support of the people of Pakistan to help us in bringing our country up to speed with the global digital transformation.”
